The Lechweg can be hiked in seven, eight or even ten stages and hiking days. Depending on personal fitness, the long-distance trail between Lech am Arlberg and Füssen in the Allgäu can also be hiked and experienced in a shorter time.

The Lechweg can also be hiked and experienced with a dog. In the Lech Valley and along the Lechweg there are numerous dog-friendly partner and host establishments that are marked accordingly. Please note, however, that dogs must be muzzled and kept on a leash on the Regio buses.
