Welcome to

Steeg

Nestled in a picturesque landscape and surrounded by the imposing peaks, including the 2,406 meter high local mountain Pimig, Steeg is the perfect vacation destination for nature and hiking lovers. As the starting point and destination of the Lechtal cycle path, our picturesque street village is an ideal starting point for exploration tours. Steeg also includes the small hamlets of Hägerau with a baroque Expositurkirche from 1729 and the mountain villages of Lechleiten and Gehren, which are in close proximity to the Warth ski area.

In summer, a wonderful hiking area with well-marked hiking trails awaits you around Steeg. A particularly recommended route leads through the flower and herb-rich Bockbachtal via Birchetsgump to the three inviting snack stations: Postalm, Almwirtschaft Bockbach and Gams Vroni. After a fulfilling day of hiking, you can refresh and relax in our natural Kneipp facility at the waterfall, directly on the Lech and along the Lechweg long-distance hiking trail.
