Doser waterfall

Mystical and mysterious is what Häselgehr is all about. The village in the middle of the Lech Valley lies at 1,006 meters above sea level, surrounded by the Lech Valley Alps and harbors a very special natural spectacle in the middle of the fairytale forest. At the hamlet of Luxnach, the Doser waterfall rolls down into the depths from a rock grotto. Nothing unusual in itself, if the water of the Doser stream would not dry up every year on St. Martin's Day (November 11) as if by magic and spring up again on St. George's Day (April 23). There are many attempts to explain this. The most plausible one speaks of an underground lake that overflows when the snow melts in spring and thus feeds the above-ground stream bed.

Rafting Basislager

As a base camp for those who want to get to know the Lech on a rafting tour, Häselgehr is also a perfect starting point. In the idyllic Lechauen, directly on the Lech bike path, you will find the whitewater sports school "FUN RAFTING". From here you can set off on an adventurous rafting tour on the wild river with experienced guides.

Families can also cool off and relax in the local outdoor pool. A small miniature golf course and a beach volleyball court provide further variety. The Kneipp facility on the lawn of the outdoor pool is also fed by the sulfurous Otterbach stream.

Tired hikers and cyclists can enjoy a delicious piece of cake and a fine cup of coffee in the village center of Häselgehr. The small and cozy coffee "Lechtaler Kaffeeklatsch" invites you to stop in.
