It you take a break at the Sonnalm you really should – after having enjoyed traditional dishes -taste the specialty of the chef: the home-made Kaiserschmarren (shredded pancakes with sugar and raisins). This is one of the most famous and popular sweet dishes of the Austrian cuisine and despite its simple recipe – one only needs flour milk, eggs, sugar and salt – the result is delightful. Fruity apple sauce completes this imperial dessert.

Mountain breakfast on the Sonnalm. Every Saturday host Egon Brandhofer serves his guests a generous mountain breakfast on the sun-flooded terrace from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Monday: ski touring night to 10:00 p.m.
