The Lechtal lies embedded between the Lechtal and Allgäu Alps. This mountain setting offers perfect conditions for a great variety of multi-day tours. High-alpine hike along a ridge or easy hike in a mountain setting, there is something for every type of hiker.

The Lechweg Trail

The approx. 125km-long route is lined by numerous unique sights and spectacles of nature.

Heilbronn Trail

Meanwhile the Heilbronn high-altitude trail is more than 100 years old. Its popularity is lasting. Three of the most beautiful Allgäu huts are found along this trail – the Rappenseehütte, the Waltenberger Haus and the Kemptner Hütte – and moreover the scenic experience is outstanding.

The Eagle Walk

The 33 stations of the Eagle Walk lead through the entire province of Tirol.

Enzensberger Trail

The trail starts from the Hermann von Barth Hütte and leads to the Kaufbeurer Haus in Hinterhornbach at an altitude of approx. 2,000m. The Enzensbergerweg trail is an absolute insiders' tip among hiking enthusiasts.

Lechtal High-Altitude Trail

13 huts, 100 kilometres, 10 days – The Lechtal high-altitude trail follows the main ridge of the Lechtal Alps at an altitude between 2,000 and 2,500 metres.

European Long-Distance Hiking Trails

The most important European long-distance hiking trail in the Lechtal is the E5 trail, which starts at Lake Constance, crosses the Lechtal in Holzgau and continues to Venice. Very popular is also the E4 trail leading west-/eastwards. This long-distance trail in the area of the Lechtal is identical with the Lechtal high-altitude trail.
