Kasermandl 1,412m

The Kasermandl was not serviced for a long time and left to decay. This is a thing of the past now. The hut – approx. an one-hour hike from the village centre of Elbigenalp – is experiencing a proper metamorphosis.

Getting there:

From the Geierwally car park in Elbigenalp you hike towards Bernhardstal valley, past the Elbigenalp carving school. After a few metres the road leads into the forest and having passed the last houses, the asphalt roads turns into a gravel road. The gravel road winds its way through the forest. There is another junction, but the correct route is well-marked. The hike to the Kasermandl takes about one hour.
