Aviation in the Lechtal

Aim high!

The onair GmbH Paragliding School

As one of the leading aviation schools in the German-speaking area, we offer an extensive training programme with an “all in one” concept. No other business in the field of paragliding offers its customers the benefits of one-stop service: We are an aviation school in Germany and Austria, have our own brand of paragliders (Team5), offer top quality clothes from “The North Face” and “Quicksilver” and operate our own lift in the Lechtal. Paragliding enthusiasts are well catered for and also in matters beyond training we are a competent point of contact.

Tandem Flights

An overwhelming experience also for non-flyers! Our AIRsport Para-Taxi offers the opportunity to get one’s flier’s baptism any time. Simply arrange for a date and off you go! We are a state certified aviation business and adhere to strictest safety precautions. Gift vouchers are also available!

Taster Day

Take off and experience the lightness of flying. After a short theoretical briefing, the practical flying exercises start. After a couple of running exercises with the paraglider, soon first short flights can be undertaken. Taster days are possible on Mondays and Tuesdays resp. and during the beginners’ courses in the Lechtal.

Basic Training

The basic training takes place on an exercise slope in Elbigenalp. The courses are held as weekend courses (Son – Sat). After 3-4 days on the exercise slope, five altitude flights are passed in the following days. Theory is taught parallel to the practice.

Altitude Flight Training / Paragliding Permit

The altitude flight training takes place on our local mountain, the Jöchelspitze summit (onair Paragliding Center – main office in Bach/Lechtal). We offer many dates, so every student can plan individually. Moreover there are one-week altitude flight trainings in the Vogesen in spring and autumn. Theory courses for the paragliding permit are offered in our new training centre in Bach.
