Ski tour to the Bockkarscharte

The traverse of the Allgäu main ridge over the Bockkarscharte is an impressive tour from the Allgäu into the Lech valley, starting at the Fellhorn cable car and finishing in Holzgau. The tour requires absolutely stable conditions, both on the ascent through the Bacherloch and the steep gully to the Waltenberger Haus and in the last part of the descent past the Simms waterfalls. The terrain on the south side of the Allgäu main ridge is uniquely wide and lonely in the Allgäu Alps and offers a variety of downhill options.
