Mountain tour Heilbronner Höhenweg

The Heilbronnerweg is a climb steeped in history. Already at the end of the 1880s the idea of a high alpine trail was born, only in July 1899 the first part could be opened, that's how long the financing talks lasted. During the two world wars there were repeated closures, only after the Second World War could the Heilbronnerweg be walked again in its entirety - both on the Austrian and German side. In 2000, the trail was completely reworked and newly secured and is still one of the most beautiful and popular highlights in the Allgäu Alps. With a length of around 3,300 meters, it is the oldest trail in the Northern Limestone Alps.
