The hut lies at the foot of the only three-thousand-metre peak in the Northern Limestone Alps, the Parseierspitze. The Augsburger Hütte is ideal as a base for interesting summit tours, traverses on classic high-altitude trails and for climbing, but is also a worthwhile destination for a day trip.
