Wunderkammer Sonderausstellung - D'Lecht'ler Schwåbakind
WunderkammerShow on Map
Information
When spring came, they set off. Children – often barely older than eight years – left their hometowns, their families, and their childhood.
Poverty forced them to migrate, mostly on foot, across the border to neighboring Allgäu. They were called Schwabenkinder. The journey was long and dangerous, the work hard.
