Fishers’ Paradise

An oasis for river fishers – the Lech Nature Reserve!

A paradise for river fishers!
Relax and enjoy the beauties of the last wild alpine river – every fishing day in the Lech Valley Nature Reserve will be an amazing experience. You will enjoy a feeling of freedom.
The Lech Valley has got two fishing rivers that are open to the visitors. Both of them are in Stanzach:
The first one is in the Lech and the other one in the Namlos River.
If you feel like joining a fishing trip please register at the Stanzach Tourist Information Office.

Booking:
Booking of the fishing card 1 day before at the Stanzach Tourist Information Office.

You must present your guest card to receive the fishing card.

Fishing rates:
Rates in the Lech, Stanzach and the Namlos.rates per ticket and fishing rod

The cards cannot be given to other persons!

The Waters
:
wide, well accessible area, ideal for fly-fishing!
The area:
Lech in Stanzach, High Bremsberg to the Blockau bridge, right river bank!

                                                                   The Namlos
River

The Waters
:
Width approx. 8 - 10m, at the beginning easily accessible, towards Namlos sure footedness and agility are required. Alternatively quick and quiet sections, dams, little cascades and turnarounds.
The area:
before the confluence into the Lech to the confluence of the Sommerbergbach (Namlos Bridge).

The population:
Good density of brown trout, rainbow trout and graylings (only in the Lech).
The requirements:
Hand-held fishing rod (casting, hauling or fly rod), artificial Jock Scott, spinner, tele carp rod, dead bait fish or hauling systems are allowed. Barbless hook required!
The close season:
Brown and rainbow trout October 1 to February 28. Graylings (only in the Lech) January 1 to May 15.
The minimum catch length:
Brown trout 25 cm, rainbow trout 30 cm, graylings (only in the Lech) 42 cm

Attention:
1. You must take the fishing guest card with you if you go fishing. If necessary, you must show it to supervisory bodies and public safety officers.
2. The fishing guest card gives you the right to fish in the above mentioned water bodies.
3. If you don’t respect the legal directives fishing rod + fishing card + catch will be taken off, a complaint will be lodged and a tax of € 8.00 will be demanded.
4. Maximum number of caught fish: 3 pieces
